About Crusader Deals:

A coupon savings site from Oregon needed a cleaner look with less visual clutter than their existing design, so I made a mockup and coded a design for them. They provided the logo and some basic guidelines and I worked to satisfy all of their demands. For whatever reason, in the end the client decided against using the new design and stuck with their old one.

Role:

  • Design
  • HTML/CSS

About As Judgement Day Approaches:

A local band from NYC needed a new logo and website to promote themselves. I created a logo for them, which they now use for stickers, shirts, flyers, and more. They wanted the site to have a personal touch to it, so I pulled pictures from their previous shows into a collage for the background. The site features a music download page, a social page, and a simple merchandise page.

Role:

  • Logo
  • Design
  • HTML/CSS
  • Custom Icons

About Mt. Calvary:

A Milwaukee-based church/school needed a fresh new design to rejuvenate their aging website, so I worked closely with them to create a design that fit their requirements and brought their ministry into the modern web age. The whole site is easily editable through Surreal CMS, with a Wordpress-powered blog integrated right into the design. I designed this while working for Business Web Experts.

Role:

  • Design
  • HTML/CSS
  • Surreal/Wordpress CMS

About Generous Offsets:

Generous Offsets needed a new website in order to boost their business' credibility and to increase conversions, so I created a new design and coded it up in SEO-friendly HTML. The design was partially based off of their existing logo which they provided. They were good, friendly clients and I made the website to their exact specifications and desires, all on a reasonable budget.

Role:

  • Design
  • HTML/CSS
  • Javascript

About Odessa Wedding Photography:

A Brooklyn-based wedding photographer needed a fresh new website to increase his online presence, and I delivered exactly that. The entire site runs on Wordpress, making it easy to keep the content updated. There's an automatic photo slideshow, a random image rotator, and a password-protected area for clients to preview their albums. In order to increase sales I optimized the whole website for search engines, and that paid off, with more and more prospective clients turning into customers.

Role:

  • Logo
  • Design
  • HTML/CSS
  • Javascript
  • Wordpress CMS
  • SEO

About Fitness For Thought:

A NYC-based fitness blogger needed a logo to represent his brand. I created a full vector-based logo for him, which incorporates his slogan as well as a bit of typographical flair.

Role:

  • Vector Logo Design

About Z-Up:

Z-Up is a simple file uploader that I created back in 2008. It's gone through several design changes, but the functionality is essentially the same: easy, painless file uploading. It's proven to be quite the useful tool for me, my own little cloud of sorts.

Hi, my name is Daniel Zabolotny and I'm based in New York City.

I've been designing websites for over four years now, first as a hobby, and then as a profession. I'm the kind of guy who can have a whole impassioned speech about the difference between Arial and Helvetica, or about how amazing CSS3 is. The point is, I'm very passionate about what I do, and I'm always trying to grow and expand my horizons as a designer.

I work with just about anybody, regardless of how big or little their business is. I always strive to create the best work I can, to the point of being called obsessive over details.

My work setup is a Mac, Photoshop CS3, Coda, and Transmit. I use HTML, CSS, and jQuery. Nothing too fancy, and everything's handcoded for speed and maximum SEO. If you're still reading this, then perhaps we should work together?
